Young Living Essential Oils (YLEO) in regards to Depression

Tough but very prevelant subject, Depression. Im not sure there is anyone who has not been touched by it in some way or another.

On a personal note,  I will say there are genetic predispositons I self monitor and have for most of my life. One is depression. I work really hard at being a better me in as many ways as I can, and along the way know that as with most people  we need help.  No I have never  been medicated for anything, litterally anything!  and dont intend to be ! I dont do meds to alter  or mask things, my body rejects them profusely.

I do however enjoy the effect of natural mental and physical healing  like , Reiki ( self  applied or treated), Massage, accupuncture ,and the use of Essential Oils.

Whether it be aromatic or applied it is a wonder to  feel the difference after the use of the oils.

I have some I like to use to uplift but im not here to discuss me, Im here to discuss  what might interupt or soften an episode of depression using YLEO.

First of all Depression can be directly related to diet! Sorry everyone… its very true.  I have had rescent blood work done and upon discussion know that I needed to  have a few additives nutritionally to gain over all balance. Not that I wasn’t eating well but  not getting what I really  really needed to deal with my stressors. Amazing results.  I upped my Oil intake and use,  and added nutritional suppliments.  Follow up blood work shows great results but even more so I feel the difference. I look to my oils and  nutrition every day. Not just good for mental health but bone, and  immune defence.

**One trigger for depression can be calcium deficiency others, as comon as carbonated drinks, specifically cola drinks high in Phosphorus.

Sugested  oils to use:

Lemon, Frankincense, Lavender, Joy, Valor, Hope.

I have discussed all but Joy and Hope in prior  blog posts so you are welcome to read about them there. I will however discuss a bit about Joy, which I use as a purfume, yes honestly! and Hope.

**Joy:  when inhaled tends to bring back thoughts of being held,, loved,  loving times. Joy helps open the adrenal glands that can be shut down due to grief, or if we have shut down to the feelings of love.

Joy is a blend of oils consisting of: Bergamot, Ylang Ylang, Geranium, Rosewood,Lemon, Mandarin, Jasmine( another fav of mine), Roman Chamomile, Palmarosa, and Rose!

**Now for Hope:   This to is a blend of oils that support the body emotionally and physically. It fosters feelings of progress,  forward motion, “Hope”, reconnecting with inner strength.

The oils  in this blend are: Melissa, Myrrh, Juniper, and Spruce

I hope this  has been of some help and offered  some alternatives for  any who suffer directly or indirectly. It is always a good practice to seek advise and consultation from a health care professional trained in this area. Discussion  is key to recovery in many things.
